We are in search of a Sr. Tax Accountant to join the team of a boutique CPA Firm. This role offers career growth with potential partnership opportunity. A desire to be challenged, detail-oriented, and passionate about ensuring financial accuracy! 

 
Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 
Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO- eligible upon hire 
Location: Modesto, CA 
 
Requirements of the Sr. Tax Accountant:? 
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or Master's in Taxation preferred. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate tax department. 
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations. 
  • Proficiency in tax software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems a plus. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. 
  • Responsibilities of the Sr. Tax Accountant:? 
  •  
  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities. 
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations, including timely filing of tax returns and payment of taxes. 
  • Financial statement compilations, reviews, and audits. 
  • Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate tax reporting and minimize tax liabilities. 
  • Assist with tax planning initiatives to optimize the company's tax position and minimize tax risks. 
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities during tax audits and inquiries. 
  • Provide guidance and support to junior tax staff on tax compliance and reporting matters. 
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate potential impacts to the organization. 
  • Prepare and maintain documentation to support tax positions taken by the company.
