Safety Specialist (EH&S) – 3rd Shift
Location: Oakdale, CA
Contract Assignment: July 1, 2026 – October 31, 2026
Pay Range: $37–$38/hour
3rd Shift | 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Are you passionate about workplace safety and creating a culture where employees feel protected and supported? We are seeking a Safety Specialist (EH&S) to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment and support key Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives on-site.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys being actively involved on the production floor, partnering with operations teams, and helping drive continuous improvement in workplace safety.
Position Summary
The Safety Specialist will support plant-level EH&S programs by assisting with compliance activities, tracking safety metrics, supporting investigations, and promoting safe work practices throughout the facility. This position plays a key role in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and maintain safety inspections, corrective actions, and compliance documentation
- Assist with incident investigations and prepare detailed reports
- Update and distribute EH&S metrics, reports, and performance data
- Support safety initiatives, training programs, and employee awareness efforts
- Monitor workplace activities to ensure compliance with company and regulatory safety standards
- Assist in maintaining emergency action and response plans
- Partner with plant leadership to promote a proactive safety culture
- Help identify opportunities for continuous improvement in EH&S processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Risk Management, Environmental Health, or related field preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and 3+ years of relevant safety experience considered
- Previous experience in manufacturing or food production environments strongly preferred
- Knowledge of workplace safety programs, compliance tracking, and reporting practices
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
- Manufacturing plant environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
- Requires standing, walking, and active floor presence throughout the shift
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs may be required
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Overtime may be available based on business needs
- Contract assignment running July 1, 2026 through October 31, 2026
