We’re seeking a hands-on, forward-thinking Safety & Compliance Manager who’s ready to take full ownership of our safety program. This role is ideal for someone who’s confident working independently, highly organized, and committed to elevating safety practices company-wide. You’ll be the go-to person for OSHA, Workers’ Compensation, site inspections, training, and recordkeeping — and you’ll play a key role in keeping both our people and our projects protected.

Safety & Compliance Manager
Location: San Joaquin County
Salary: $90-$110k
Mon-Thurs: 6am-4:30pm
We’re seeking a hands-on, forward-thinking Safety & Compliance Manager who’s ready to take full ownership of our safety program. This role is ideal for someone who’s confident working independently, highly organized, and committed to elevating safety practices company-wide. You’ll be the go-to person for OSHA, Workers’ Compensation, site inspections, training, and recordkeeping — and you’ll play a key role in keeping both our people and our projects protected.
What You’ll Own:
- Lead all on-site safety activities and ensure daily operations meet internal safety standards and external compliance requirements.
- Take the lead on OSHA visits, annual audits, and incident investigations — representing the company with clarity and professionalism.
- Proactively manage Workers’ Compensation claims and follow-up documentation, especially for field personnel.
- Build and maintain accurate safety records, logs, and documentation systems — ensuring everything is audit-ready year-round.
- Serve as the primary safety contact for the organization — not just submitting forms, but actively managing the process.
- Coordinate and deliver required safety training, including onboarding, toolbox talks, and incident-prevention sessions.
- Identify potential hazards, recommend preventive actions, and drive continuous improvements in safety culture.
- Collaborate closely with Human Resources
The Ideal Candidate:
- Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
- 5+ years managing safety in a construction or industrial environment.
- Ability to work occasionally on Fridays for site visits when necessary.
- Ability to travel to construction job sites throughout California
- Knowledge of OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and Workers’ Compensation protocols.
- Confident, organized, and meticulous — you don’t wait to be asked, and you don’t drop the ball.
- Strong communicator who builds trust with field teams and leadership alike.
- Proficient in reporting, documentation, and training delivery.
- OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR required; CHST a plus.
