Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
We are seeking an experienced Referrals Coordinator to join our multi-provider Pediatric practice. As a Referrals Coordinator, you will be responsible for processing physician referrals and ensuring that patients receive the necessary authorizations for their treatments. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in referrals, specifically in a pediatric setting. This position requires excellent telephone skills, good data entry skills, and familiarity with the Greenway EMR software.
Job Duties:
- Process physician referrals for pediatric patients, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
- Verify patient eligibility by contacting insurance companies and obtaining necessary authorizations.
- Submit re-authorizations if required, following insurance guidelines and procedures.
- Communicate with referring physicians, insurance companies, and other healthcare providers to gather necessary information for referrals.
- Minimum of one year of experience working in a referrals department, preferably in a pediatric setting.
- Familiarity with pediatric referrals and insurance authorization processes is required.
- Excellent telephone skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
- Strong data entry skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate and complete documentation.
