Ready for a quick start to the new year? Family Health Care Medical Group is looking for an experienced Prescription / Authorization Clerk to join our busy, multi-provider family practice.

What You’ll Do

Process and manage prescriptions, including controlled medications, in accordance with FHC protocols

Handle prior authorizations and appeals for GLP-1 medications.

Respond to patient messages in a professional, friendly, and patient-centered manner

Coordinate with providers, insurance companies, and internal staff to ensure timely approvals

Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system
What We’re Looking For

At least 1 year of experience in a medical practice handling prescriptions and prior authorizations

Hands-on experience with EMR systems

Strong data entry and typing skills with excellent attention to detail

Polished telephone skills—professional, calm, and patient

A team player who can also work independently and stay on task

Reliable, dependable, and punctual—showing up on time, every day, ready to work an 8-hour shift
