Plant Production Manager
Modesto, CA
Comp: $120k-$140k
We’re seeking a dynamic and team-motivating Plant Production Manager to lead our food manufacturing operations. Excellent Benefits Package, and growth opportunity! The Production Manager plays a key role in driving plant performance, leading a strong team, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Execution & Results
  • Drive performance metrics across production lines, including throughput, efficiency, and downtime reduction.
  • Develop and implement action plans to meet and exceed operational goals.
  • Monitor and communicate performance against KPIs, and engage the team to improve results.

Safety Leadership
  • Champion workplace safety and ensure full adherence to all safety protocols.
  • Promote a safety-first culture by engaging the team in proactive safety programs and audits.
  • Identify risk areas and lead corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment.

Food Safety & Quality

  • Ensure production consistently meets company standards for food safety and product quality.

  • Train and lead the production team in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation procedures, and compliance protocols.

  • Actively participate in internal and third-party audits and address non-compliance findings with urgency.

Operational Compliance
  • Maintain strict compliance with all local, state, and federal food manufacturing regulations (OSHA, FDA, EPA, SQF, etc.).
  • Lead the team in upholding company policies and procedures with accountability and transparency.
  • Team Leadership & Communication
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop the production team to support company objectives and individual growth.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Leadership teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Foster a strong culture of teamwork, trust, and accountability.
  • Complete all required training and certifications.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and problem-solving initiatives
  • Continuous Improvement & Procurement Support
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and lead initiatives to optimize productivity and reduce waste.
  • Oversee purchasing and materials planning functions related to production needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • 5+ years’ leadership experience in food manufacturing. 
  • Proven expertise in food safety, production scheduling, and process optimization.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Adept at problem solving, decision making, and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
