Our growing local client is joining forces with AVAILABILITY Professional Staffing in search of an experienced Payroll Specialist.
Salary: $22.00 $27.00

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Follow precise instructions, communicate well in writing and speech
- Stay organized, meet set deadlines
- Demonstrate patience, sensitivity when interacting with staff
- Grasp payroll terminology and methods
- Maintain confidentiality
- Accurately record payroll transactions, following regulations
- Summarize timekeeping data
- Secure overtime approval, resolve timecard issues
- Distribute paychecks as needed
- Calculate and process employee commissions
- Handle assigned tasks and projects
- Initiate and print paychecks as scheduled
- Address complaints, discrepancies
- Consider vacation/sick pay in earnings calculations
- Finalize payroll upon termination
- Scrutinize electronic data for errors
- Proficiently use payroll software
- Balance payroll runs
- Manage employee records; follow new hire policies, open enrollment rules
- 2 years’ Experience
- Proficient in Excel/Word/Outlook
- QuickBooks software knowledge
- Excellent Verbal and written skills
- Bilingual – English/Spanish
