Payroll and HR Coordinator
Temp to Hire
Location: Salida, CA
Pay Range $24-$25/hr
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess payroll experience, ADP proficiency, and a positive attitude with a commitment to confidentiality. This individual will play a crucial role in administering employee health and welfare plans, processing low volume payroll accurately, and fostering positive employee relations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payrolls and monthly Payroll Journals with precision.
- Administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing employee inquiries and requests.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations by completing Forms I-9 and maintaining accurate records.
- Coordinate new-employee background checks, drug tests, and physicals.
- Reconcile benefits statements and process monthly invoices efficiently.
- Conduct audits of payroll, benefits, and other HR programs, recommending corrective actions as necessary.
- Assist in the recruitment process by tracking candidate statuses and providing follow-up communication.
- Schedule and conduct orientation meetings under the guidance of the Director of HR.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and correspondence preparation.
- Prepare new-employee files and packets accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Experience working with processing payroll and time card review.
- Proficiency in ADP and Microsoft Office Suite or related software highly preferred.
- Degree in HR or Business preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
- Attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Working understanding of human resource principles and practices. Capacity to handle confidential information discreetly and professionally.
