Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of 20 employees in nursery production operations.
- Oversee planting, propagation, irrigation, pruning, pest control, and overall plant health management.
- Ensure employees follow best practices, safety protocols, and company standards.
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing for supplies and materials.
- Train and mentor staff to improve efficiency and maintain high-quality standards.
- Work closely with ownership and management to implement business strategies.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any personnel issues.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and agricultural regulations.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.
- Experience in nursery or horticulture operations required.
- Proven experience managing a production team of 15+ employees.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of plant care, pest management, irrigation systems, and greenhouse operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment and handle physical tasks as needed.
- Background in agricultural management, horticulture, or a related field.
- Familiarity with labor laws, safety regulations, and compliance requirements in the nursery industry.
