Overview:
We are hiring a Manager of Quality Control to oversee construction quality standards and final inspections. This role is responsible for maintaining quality from start to finish, ensuring builds meet company requirements and project specifications. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in field-based construction QA/QC who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all jobsite quality control initiatives, including daily inspections and final punch list reviews.
- Conduct thorough walk-throughs of each project phase, ensuring construction aligns with plans, specs, and company quality standards.
- Confirm timely completion of all corrective items prior to handoff or occupancy.
- Supervise QC staff and coordinate with trade leads across structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and architectural scopes.
- Review incoming materials to ensure they meet order specifications and industry standards.
- Work closely with field supervisors to resolve quality issues and implement preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate documentation for inspections, non-conformances, corrective actions, and material audits.
- Assist with employee training on quality expectations, installation techniques, and code compliance.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture preferred.
- OSHA knowledge and commitment to safety standards.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in construction, with knowledge of framing, siding, roofing, concrete.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
- Proven ability to enforce quality standards while supporting schedule objectives.
- Strong communication skills—written and verbal—with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
