HR Generalist 
Temp. to Hire 
Location: Stockton, CA 
Schedule: Mon.-Fri., 8am to 5pm 
Pay Rate: $28 to $34/hr. 

APS is seeking a detail-oriented HR Generalist, who is a self-starter for a local specialized food processing company. The ideal HR Generalist will have experience in recruitment, payroll processing, and benefits administration.  

Requirements of the HR Generalist: 
  • Bilingual-Spanish/English 
  • Recruiting experience (ideally in a seasonal environment) 
  • High school diploma (required) 
  • Associates, Bachelor’s degree, or certification in Human Resources (preferred) 
  • 3+ years of HR work experience 
  • Positive attitude 
  • Self-starter

Job Duties of the HR Generalist: 
  • Maintaining professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray the company in a positive manner.  
  • Able to maintain confidentiality representing both the company and the employee. 
  • Supports Management with HRIS entry and updating to ensure data integrity  
  • Actively recruit and manage applicants via inbound and outbound calls, e-mail, social media, and HRIS 
  • Through recruitment activity, identify candidates, conduct pre-screening, coordinate, and schedule interviews and do hiring assessments. 
  • Assist employees with 401K enrollment. 
  • Process weekly payroll for seasonal employees (approx. 55-65) 
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for 30 FT employees. 
  • Manage benefits enrollment, working with brokers and management. 
  • Track all employee PTO and sick time. 
  • Manage the candidate processes such as initiating background screening services through a third-party. 
  • Process E-Verify for New Hires  
  • Employee Onboarding to include but not limited to: Assist EE’s filling out all new hire documents, issue key cards and parking passes, and going over benefit options and declinations. 
  • Conduct new hire orientations. 
  • Lead employee trainings on an as needed basis 
  • EDD verification, and follow up with correspondence with applicable back up.  
  • Participate in Workers Comp Audits and ensure data integrity when rates change in both ATS and Payroll System.  
  • Submit WOTC reports after payroll and keep track if additional documents are required. 
  • Additional administrative and human resources projects as assigned.
