Job Description
The Human Resources Generalist will play an important role in supporting employees, leadership, and a people-first workplace culture. This is a great opportunity for an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys making an impact across multiple areas of HR.
Location: Chico, CA
Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site
Salary: $75,000–$85,000/year + bonus and competitive benefits
Requirements:

5+ years of Human Resources experience

Strong knowledge of California employment law and HR best practices

Experience working in a unionized environment with Collective Bargaining Agreements

Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Responsibilities:

Support employee relations, benefits, HR policies, and compliance
-
Manage confidential employee records and sensitive HR matters

Coordinate performance reviews, employee surveys, and HR programs

Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and exit interviews

Assist with California employment law compliance and required reporting

Support labor relations within a unionized environment

Promote employee engagement, development, and a safety-first culture

Partner with employees and leadership to support organizational success
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (SHRM, PHR, SPHR, or PHRca); HRIS/ERP experience; and bilingual English/Spanish skills.
