- Partner with clients, architects, and engineers early in the design phase to develop conceptual budgets and value-engineering ideas.
- Lead the preconstruction process — bids, take-offs, vendor coordination, and budget development — in a transparent, team-oriented way.
- Translate design intent into clear, accurate estimates that guide the field and align with client goals.
- Proactively manage RFIs and clarifications to resolve questions and reduce risk before construction begins.
- Stay current on material pricing, labor rates, and market trends to deliver reliable, forward-looking estimates.
- Compare estimated vs. actual costs post-project to refine future accuracy and drive continuous improvement.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of estimating experience in Design-Build or pre-engineered metal building projects (2,400–100,000 sq. ft. range ideal).
- Strong understanding of construction methods, value engineering, and cost control.
- Proficiency in Sage 300 / Sage Estimating, Bluebeam, Procore, MS Project, AutoCAD, and similar software.
- Excellent communication and organization skills; able to manage multiple active projects confidently.
