Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Controller to oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, drive strategic financial decision-making, and lead a high-performing accounting team. This is a key leadership position for someone who is hands-on, analytical, and highly collaborative.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day oversight of all core accounting functions, including GL, AR/AP, cash flow, reporting and credit.
- Lead a team of five including a general ledger Accountant, AP/AR specialists, and a credit manager—ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and accountability across all functions.
- Prepare and present monthly and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policy.
- Serve as the key point of contact for internal leadership and external auditors; coordinate annual financial audits and ensure timely completion of audit deliverables.
- Engage in leadership and strategic planning meetings; actively challenge ideas, offer insights, and support decision-making through clear financial modeling and forecasting.
- Drive internal process improvements and ensure compliance with internal controls, risk policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Foster a positive, accountable culture that prioritizes team development, collaboration, and operational excellence.
What We’re Looking For:
- CPA certification required.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3+ years in a Controller-level leadership role.
- Proven leadership experience managing accounting teams and improving departmental workflows.
- Skilled at presenting financial information to executive teams and contributing to company-wide strategies.
- Strong technical accounting background, with in-depth knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial compliance.
- Must be comfortable working on-site Monday through Friday (this is not a hybrid or remote opportunity).
- Experience with Crystal Reports highly preferred
