Job Description
AVAILABILITY Professional Staffing has partnered with a large prominent construction company in the Central Valley in their search for a detail-oriented Certified Payroll Administrator. Must have strong knowledge of prevailing wages and excellent communication skills.
Pay Rate: $24 - $29/hr.

Location: Stockton, CA
Requirements of the Certified Payroll Administrator:
- HS Diploma required (Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred).
- 2+ years of certified payroll processing experience
- Proficiency in?LCPtracker, DIR eCPR, and payroll
- Strong knowledge of?California DIR regulations, prevailing wage laws, and certified payroll requirements.
- Detail-oriented with excellent?organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle?confidential information?with integrity.
- Strong?problem-solving and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
Responsibilities of the Certified Payroll Administrator:
- Process payroll for employees on?government-funded?and?public works projects.
- Prepare and submit?Certified Payroll Reports (CPRs)?(e.g.,?WH-347 forms) and upload them to?LCPtracker?and other payroll compliance platforms.
- Ensure compliance with the?Davis-Bacon Act,?California DIR regulations, and other labor laws.
- Verify prevailing wage determinations and ensure proper fringe benefit allocations.
- Register projects and submit payroll reports to the?California DIR?(via the?DIR eCPR system).
- Maintain accurate payroll records, including hours worked, wages, and job classifications.
- Review and resolve?payroll discrepancies?and respond to audits or compliance reviews.
- Stay updated on?DIR prevailing wage rates, LCPtracker updates, and certified payroll reporting requirements.
- Work with project managers and finance teams to ensure payroll accuracy.
- Assist employees with payroll-related inquiries, including wage and benefit clarifications.
