Senior Financial Analyst – Food Manufacturing
A well-established and growing food manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to play a key role in driving operational and financial excellence. In this role, you’ll help shape the company’s financial infrastructure—leading cost accounting initiatives, supporting FP&A functions, evaluating ROI on strategic projects, and partnering with leadership to guide data-based decisions that impact growth and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, refine, and maintain cost models for products, materials, and production processes.
- Evaluate return on investment for new projects, process improvements, and capital expenditures.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews of capital investments to ensure alignment with financial goals.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, delivering actionable insights to management.
- Strengthen financial reporting, dashboards, and analysis tools for greater transparency and decision support.
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and leadership teams to interpret and communicate key metrics.
- Implement and streamline cost accounting procedures, inventory controls, and financial best practices.
- Leverage Sage ERP and Excel-based models to extract, analyze, and present operational data.
- Contribute to monthly and year-end close through reconciliations and analytical reporting.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings or operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in cost accounting, FP&A, or manufacturing finance.
- Strong understanding of product costing, financial modeling, and capital budgeting principles.
- Hands-on experience with Sage ERP (or similar systems) and advanced Excel skills; BI tool experience a plus.
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Proven success balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
