Job Description
Availability Professional Staffing is partner with a location manufacturing company to hire an Accounts Payable Supervisor for a growing company. You'll oversee our A/P processes and team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Key responsibilities include invoice processing, managing payments, vendor setup, and reporting.
Accounts Payable Supervisor
Direct Hire
Pay Range $73,000 - $75,000
Location: Modesto, CA
Responsibilities:
- Oversee full-cycle A/P, including matching, processing, and check printing.
- Supervise daily A/P operations and team tasks.
- Manage vendor assignments and workload distribution.
- Audit vendor information and ensure accurate processing.
- Prepare weekly cash requirement reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing errors.
- Ensure timely processing of discounts, taxes, and charges.
- Post A/P journals and reconcile with the General Ledger.
- Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency.
- Review and approve team timecards and schedules.
- Serve as backup for Accounts Receivable tasks.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in fast-paced A/P.
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of A/P principles and financial record keeping.
- Excellent critical thinking and math skills.
- Commitment to accuracy and ethical standards.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
