Job Description
- Maintaining the company's accounts payable records and ensuring that all bills and invoices are paid in a timely manner.
- Processing vendor invoices and employee expense reports for payment.
- Reconciling vendor statements and resolving any discrepancies.
- Creating and maintaining vendor files. Entering and updating vendor information in the accounting system.
- Communicating with vendors and other departments within the company to resolve any payment issues or questions.
- Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Maintaining accurate and complete records of all accounts payable transactions.
Qualifications
- 4+ years experience working in accounting
- Proven experience in an accounts payable role, or related experience in accounting or finance
- Experience working in manufacturing or harvest/ag industry, or on accrual basis
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with numbers
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel and accounting software.
- High school diploma or equivalent, associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred
