Accounting Manager - Controller
Location: On-site (Central Valley, CA)
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $100,000 – $130,000 annually
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Role Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced leader to oversee day-to-day accounting operations. This position plays a vital role in ensuring financial integrity across multiple entities and will support the CFO with strategic insights and leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, and staff leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the daily functions of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Monitor internal controls, streamline workflows, and implement process improvements.
- Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including performance evaluations and professional development.
- Manage annual budget processes in partnership with senior leadership.
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare and submit financial reports and filings.
- Coordinate with external auditors during reviews and audits.
- Track and manage the fixed asset inventory and related depreciation schedules.
- Serve as a financial resource to leadership teams across associated entities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field - advanced education preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with PowerBI, Sage or other ERP systems is highly desirable.
