Requirements of the Accounting Clerk II:
- High School Diploma
- Strongly prefer a four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or another business-oriented field.
- 1 year accounting or Fuel industry experience required.
- Demonstrated computer skills, especially importing to, and exporting from Excel.
- Strong data entry skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time-management and organizations skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional analytical skill to sort through high volume of data and information.
- Ability to anticipate problems and address them proactively.
Responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk II:
- Compile and analyze fuel pricing surveys from competitors across all locations in the region.
- Import/enter daily fuel meter readings and credit card sales data for consignment sites.
- Reconcile dealer credit card transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Review daily margins, investigate variances, and report findings.
- Prepare and submit monthly SIR (Statistical Inventory Reconciliation) compliance reports and distribute them to partner sites.
- Prepare weekly inventory reports, research variances, and address any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the retail team to review the monthly partner site commission report.
- Maintain the station pricing tracker with daily updates.
- Serve as the primary contact for partner sites regarding chargebacks, pricing, billing, drafts, or readings inquiries.
- Ensure consistent and accurate data entry, maintaining the integrity of information.
- Demonstrate a strong ability to learn, grow in industry knowledge, and develop fuel industry expertise.
- Provide excellent customer service, fostering positive relationships with customers, partners, and vendors.
- Exhibit a team-player attitude by performing tasks beyond the primary role, including supporting coworkers, handling clerical tasks, and other duties as assigned.
- Adapt to changes in workflow processes, effectively prioritizing and managing multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.
- Work collaboratively with customers, carriers, and various internal departments, including accounts payable, dispatch, and sales, to resolve customer service inquiries and handle special billing situations.
- Excel in a fast-paced, evolving environment with meticulous attention to detail in data entry, research, and problem-solving tasks.
- Operate autonomously with minimal supervision, using resourcefulness to address issues promptly and meet deadlines.
