Job Description
AVAILABILITY Professional Staffing has partnered with a premiere construction company and long-time client on their search for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist.?Great communication, attention to detail, and certified payroll knowledge is a must!
Pay Rate: $28-$33/hr.
Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO- eligible upon hire
Location: Escalon, CA
Requirements of the Payroll Specialist:
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Knowledge of certified payroll and prevailing wage regulations
- 3+ years of full-cycle payroll experience
- Strong knowledge of Department of Industrial Relations compliance program and reporting requirements
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist:
- Process weekly payroll for approximately 50-75 employees.
- Generate certified payroll reports and submit electronically to the DIR
- Prepare required forms related to payroll
- Process payroll taxes
- Manage Worker’s Comp
- Dispatch workers as needed
- Maintain employee records
- Track subcontractor certified payroll
- Process Skilled & Trained reports for company and subcontractors
