Location: Modesto, CA
Pay Range: $70-$90k

Financial Management:
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Analyze financial data and inventory reports, and provide insightful recommendations to improve financial performance and support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor and forecast cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis and reporting to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas of concern.
Budgeting and Planning:
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with owners to develop accurate and realistic budgets.
  • Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide recommendations to align actual results with budgeted goals.
  • Support the development of financial forecasts, providing accurate and timely projections of revenue, expenses, and cash flow.
Commission Calculations:
  • Assist in calculating sales commissions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure commission plans align with company goals and objectives.
  • Verify commission data, reconcile calculations, and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Provide clear and transparent commission statements to sales representatives.
Financial Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, laws, and accounting standards.
  • Oversee the preparation of sales tax reporting
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations, recommending and implementing necessary changes to ensure compliance.
Team Leadership:
  • Manage and mentor the accounting team
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment, promoting teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate and delegate tasks to ensure timely completion of financial reporting, budgeting, accounts payable, commission calculations, and other accounting activities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Accounting experience in retail environment
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Proficient in financial management software, Sage & POS experience a plus
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong leadership, Accounting oversight experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
