Job Description
We are in search of an Accountant to join the team of a large and growing family-owned organization in the energy industry. A desire to be challenged, detail-oriented, and passionate about ensuring financial accuracy!
Pay Rate: $26 - $35/hr. DOE
Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO- eligible upon hire
Location: Modesto, CA
Requirements of the Accountant:?
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- One or more years of accounting related work experience.
- Demonstrated computer skills, especially importing to and exporting from Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and other financial management tools.
- A solid understanding of GAAP.
Responsibilities of the Accountant:?
- This will initially be a rotational assignment with the successful candidate quickly learning and performing basic AR, banking, Cost and general ledger functions.
- Ensure monthly closing process, including fuel inventory variance review and analysis, journal entries, reconciliations, margin analysis and management reporting, are completed accurately and timely.
- Candidate will work collaboratively with supervision to develop permanent role after completion of rotation.
- Role requires both accuracy and speed in execution of assigned tasks.
- Must be organized and able to prioritize workload.
- Must be a self-starter and able to stay on task with minimal supervision.
- Must be customer oriented and able to work and communicate well with both internal and external constituencies.
- Demonstrated willingness to perform tasks not directly associated with role, including backing-up coworkers, clerical tasks, and other duties as assigned.
- Must be excited to learn and grow with the company.
