Billing Clerk
Hourly rate: $22
Temp-hire
Location: Stockton
Shift: Tuesday-Saturday: 8:30am-5:00pm
This is a great opportunity for someone with data entry skills or accounting experience looking for a company with job security.
Summary:
The Billing Clerk is responsible for generating freight invoices and credit memos from driver deliver documents, issuing them to customers in a timely manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process freight billing accurately and timely
- Review and label Driver paperwork using internal record management software
- Data Entry
- Audit of reports
- Process credit memos and re-bills
- Update invoices to general ledger
- Reconcile billing output to general ledger daily
- Issue invoices to customers
- Check Billing Dept email for any inquiries and reply in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be detail oriented and organized to avoid data entry errors in the billing system
- Ability/enjoys working independently
- Communication skills to allow for ease of verbally communicating with team
- 10-key by touch, speed of 9000 ksph preferred
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written documents in the English language
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook
- AR experience a plus!
- Knowledge of MAS 200/Sage 100 software a plus
- Knowledge of basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication
