Volunteer Coordinator
Location: Stanislaus County
Pay: $26–$29/hour

We are seeking a compassionate and organized Volunteer Coordinator to lead the heart of our programs by supporting grieving children, teens, and families. In this role, you’ll recruit, train, and inspire volunteers who help create a safe and caring space where families can find comfort, healing, and connection. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for all volunteers, managing recruitment, onboarding, clearances, scheduling, and appreciation.
- Coordinate and staff onsite grief support groups and events.
- Facilitate support groups for children, teens, and families as needed.
- Maintain accurate records, prepare monthly reports, and support program operations.
- Build and nurture volunteer relationships and represent the program at community events.
- Preferred but not required: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social sciences, public health, or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a helping-related role, ideally with children and adolescents.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with data software a plus.
- Strong communication, empathy, and organizational skills.
- Preference with fluency in Spanish and English.
- Willingness to work 2 evenings a week, weekends, and travel as needed.
- Paid Holidays: Over 10 observed annually, including Thanksgiving (2 days) and Christmas.
